Having survived the blood fever that killed her mother, Adelina is left with silver hair instead of black, pale lashes, and a scar where her left eye had been. Her father, believing that she is a malfetto, an abomination to the family, mistreated her growing up. On the day of her execution, Adelina is saved by a group of malfettos, or Young Elites, just like herself. Problems just keep adding up. Can Adelina chose the right person to tell the truth to?
I can’t decide if I liked The Young Elites or not. It was a really well written book, but the problems in the story just kept adding up and never resolved. There are two more books in the series and I haven’t decided whether I’ll read them or not (it’ll probably depend whether the library has them :))
